M. Koford 1951 3. Vicuqna May 25 8 mi. SSW Zimbrani, 15000', Dpto. Puno The group of 5 and the separate one also showed alarm, but none ran. The 10 moved up onto a rock. The separate one started toward them. The one in the rear of the 10 turned and chased the intruder with ears laid back. By this time all were out of sight behind rocks and I did not see the end of the chase. Soon the group of 10 moved back into sight on top of the rocks and about half of them lay down. By this time the sun had set and I left them. May 26 This morning we drove up the road again. The group of 6 from the canyon north of the road was above the road headed uphill. The group of 10 was a little up the canyon from where we left them last night. Farther down was a group of 5 and one separate, probably the 5 and 1 we left here last night. Across the canyon was a group of 5, perhaps the same one seen yesterday morning and evening. Up the canyon from these was a group of 3. I watched the group of 10 for about 1/2 hour. Seven
