town of Azia - saw vermilion flycatcher. No high ocean cliffs di-
rectly opposite Azia do. & road not on beach - saw no condors & thus
appeared to be few birds on ground as Azia do. (many on smaller is-
land closer to shore). Km. 122 / spd. 768) oak-seized tree on ridge
to E. of road. At spd. 774, about 35 km. before Cañete, saw
cre-corder overhead. Organ-pipe cactus in some dry draws in
this area. Km. 150, Cañete valley - flat, green, cultivated; much
cotton, eucalyptus trees, other trees for windbreaks. Mockingbirds
common. Crossed river at km. 175 & green area ended at 178.
at 3:15 p.m., km. 185, road on sand desert at tops high lar-
glomerate cliffs. Saw several condors; black + turkey vultures)
soaring parallel to beach near tops of 500' conglomerate cliffs.
Dead guanoys common on sand. Took photos of cliffs (kobo-lomo).
Good descended to beach. Town of Yahway on beach at km. 205.
