Walked to San Miguel Bridge (where P.S. crossed river); km. 118 1/2 about) in evening. Many small birds & large Turacos in this area. July 31, 1952 To Cuzco, Dpto. Cuzco, Peru a young black parson with white face in a tree I had set. Saw a ?? Rupicola near house. Many sawa larky-tailed black mink-like animal nearby yesterday. Local people said this ate chickens & had a short face (a tayra?) and was not common. At 9 p.m. we took train for Cuzco, arriving 4 p.m. August 1, 1952 To Juliaca, Dpto.
