C. Koford /67 Journal May 12, 1952 25 mi. SW Chalanq, 14500' Oto. Apurimas Pyrenophyllum, [illegible] (1' high, narrow leaves), closely cropped Festuca line, + the stately Oryzoboe. Saw turkey vultures, Agrius, Muscicavida (cinerea ?). May 13, 1952 To 21 mi. ENE Piquio, 14500'; Oto. Ayocucho. My traps held 1 P. sublimis & 1 P. pictus (minus; discarded). A. Pearson got an Abdom [illegible]. We departed & drove toward Piquio. At about 8pm. 215 got up to flat & rolling plain of close cropped Festuca (?) + other grasses, where many boulders & many vicuñas. Pearson saw a trio of Tinamotii & shot one. I shot 1 of 2 Phlegmis mitchelli on wet root. We camped & set traps in rocks & grass, n. km. 65 from Piquio. I set 30 traps on bare ground near boulders & on boulder slope below small cliff where tall bunch grass. May 14, 1952 To 9 mi. NE Piquio (min.) My traps held 1 Desperanza (grass), & P. sublimis, 1 P. pictus (baby), adult + junr. Chinchillula, adult P. darwinii. All but ad. Chinchillula, P. darwinii, & Desperanza discarded. Pearson got an A. jelskii. We put up specimens & departed many lakes. Saw roosts capulating on grass island. at km. 46 from Piquio road started to descend few vicuñas thereafter. Camped km. 30 where broad broad tola, appeared broad tola in yellow flower, + 3' high ichu & some rock cliffs + walls. Set traps. I shot an (junr. - discarded) Upucachia + a spinetail; saw Muscicavida sp. + many small doves. O.P. & I shot 3 Notioportsa o. apicis. Took one P. pictus (071450) from trap. May 15, 1952 Traps held 9 P. pictus, 1 each of P. darwinii, A. boliviensis, & P. sublimis. Put up A.b.,
