then on up to upper groups. ♀ of lower group chased her, then continued to chase all the ?? in upper group. ♂ of upper group returned from up draw and chased out ? of 6 who ran back to his group and chased them a little. 5:25 2 juv. in upper ? 1 in lower group nursing. 1 juv. down in lower group. 5:30 1 ad. down in W139 group. Still 1 juv. down in lower E139 group. Youngest down in upper E(39) group - only 9 adults in sight - ? may be off chasing one again... Now whole group moving up draw to left and out of sight.
April 16 at 3:30 drove from 137 to 139. Road men working at 138.8 ♂ only vicunas were 71,2♂ W of road at 139.1. Drove down to 134.8 and watched 141,5♂ ? of road.
2 juveniles prone each near an adult, one of them quite young. Another very young juv. following an adult. The other 5 juv. grazing together. All adults grazing. At 3:45 the youngest pron juv. stood & ran a little as a truck passed, then lay down again. The other pron juv. stood up, walked over and sniffed the younger one, then followed adult. The other very young juv.
