M. Koford 1952 47 Viengna April 10 Huaylarco prone, another juv. lay down prone. One of the pron. juveniles is very new. it is lying near the 2 prone adults. it's fur is still dark with light blotches on the back. The shade has now reached this group. all an up but one juv. (this one near an adult a little apart from group). The new juv. ran when chased by another juv. but looked a little unsteady. it then lay down again and one adult also lay down. The 4 juv. in the 6A, 4J are now gambling. (5-:15) April 13 Drove up at 4:30 pm from 137 to 139. 6 in E 138.2 Draw. 3A across stream at 138.9. 7A, 2J in W/139 Draw. 2 groups in E 139 Draw. 6A in lower group, 11A in upper group. juveniles are mixed - 7 in lower group (3 I assume from upper) and 2 in upper group - one of these a very young one. All in all groups are up & grazing. (4:40) 4:45 another juv. has returned to upper group. An is nursing. Youngest is lying down. One juv. down in 7A, 2J. 4:48 /juv. nursing in lower group in E/139 Draw. Sun setting on W/139 Draw - 1 juv. still down here. 2 juveniles
