Drove back. Group of 4 and 5 still on
either side of stream at 138. At 137.7,
group of 8A, 5J between road and stream,
some others disappearing over ridge
across stream. One of these being chased
by an adult, which then joined 2 adults
and a juvenile across stream at 137.6.
At 137.5, 6 ?? near road, 3 ?? across
stream, and 2 or more adults (together?)
near stream (on this side of stream but
hidden by bank). At 135.9, just above
road 7A, 2J. Drove up the road again
in afternoon. At 135.5, across stream,
7A, 2J. 4 (? with yearlings?) up hill
with nursing
at 138. At 139, 9A, 2 ?? above road;
8A, 5J across stream and a little
up draw. At 139.1, 17 ?? above road;
6 A, 4J across stream. Copulation
occurring in this last group - lasted
about 10 minutes after I arrived -
? prone, ? with forelegs in front of her hips
and hind legs bent under her, flipped
tail up and down at times, nosed head
of ? once. ? once pointed
nose upward until
it touched ?'s head, once shook head,
once turned head sideways to nose ?,
