moved back upstream hidden from
me behind hill. Then the 6A, 4J moved
slowly uphill and upstream. I drove
down to 138. At 138.2 were 2 adults
near stream. At 137.9, ♀ with 3 yearlings
was between road and stream. Just
across stream was group of 5. 50 yd.
downstream were ♂ 16♀♀, ♀ of 5
apparently just returning from chasing
them. Turned around and drove back
toward 139. The 10A, 2J just moving
down across road at 138.8. They
crossed stream and grazed 75 yd. down-
stream from ♂ where 6A, 4J now grazing.
The 4J grazed together a little apart from
adults. The 2J from other group ran up
to them and the 4 ran back to their
group. The two went with them, and
then one at a time returned to their
own group. This group (10A, 2J) now
moved downstream. The 6A, 4J
moved upstream. 17♀♀ down road at 139.
The 6A, 4J now across stream at 139.
50 yd. up draw from them are the 9A, 4J.
Above road at 139.1 are the 7A, 2J.
♀ of 6A, 4J chased the 17♀♀, crossing stream
to road to do it.
