M. Koford 1952 Vicugna 32 March 20 Huaylazo another 100 yd. down stream while I was watching other groups. Meanwhile 14 A, 3 J moved upstream. I last saw them at about 138.9 still on far side crossed road, of stream. 9A, 4J stayed by stream for a while, then also moved upstream the same way first group had gone. Meanwhile, 2 more groups appeared over ridge at about 138.6. One group of 7A, 2J grazed above road, then moved north out of my sight along road but not crossing it. Another group of 10 A, 2 J stayed near top of ridge W of road. Their 2 once chased back 4? others which appeared over ridge. Another single on appeared about 138.5 and stayed and grazed. 3 one - or two - year old [illegible] appeared near him, went to pile, 2 gave repeated "wolf howls", one of them after smelling where he had just gone. These 3 then crossed road, crossed stream, and moved uphill on other side.
