A raven was within 10' of adult, emin., & drinking cords this morning - no reat- on. 8a.m., 4 emin. in a buddle atop cliff about ¼ mile N. of Big Cave. 8:05, one adult stop cliff walked up to other & other retreated - this occured 3 + times until chased one was at cliff edge. Chasing adult de- layed a little muzzling with 2 immatures. Adult at cliff edge flew & other followed 30+ sec. Both they alighted on a point or in a pot hole about ¼ mile N. of Big Cave. Flight seemed very relaxed - sunshine but no wind (56 F. in blind). 8:13, 8on Whitewash ledge & 1 over Big Caves about as before; only 1 stop cliff over Whitewash ledge & 1 stop cliff to N. as before - 11 total in sun, only the 1 adult not in sunshine. Of the 8on Whitewash ledge, 4 were adults, one a near-adult, & 3 dark headed immatures. One adult & one emin. were crouched flat still. These birds mainly just looked proud lazily, seldom preening. About 9:20 one emin. left. 8:25, the 7 mainly preening quietly - 2 still crouched flat.
