TOOS - taurus COW Titus Canyon RD 10 Mar 79 - cowpels abundant Currie Well 31 Mar 79, Herd of 50+ seen. Area very heavily impacted. Phinney Canyon Rd. 30 May 79 - scattered individuals, Cowpels abundant Strozzi Ranch 12 June 79 - common - noisy at night. Cowpels everywhere, particularly wasthetic in stream and around spring, cow trails abundant. Phinney Mine shaft 26 June 79 - not in evidence no water available. 24 July - cowpels (old) but no recent sign, not at Phinney spring? Abundant along route of 5-6 August 79 severe overgrazing + browsing around springs Strozzi Ranch 17-18 Aug - a few seen on hikes, one dead cow found in valley SE of ranch, horn collected on hill N of ranch many at Strozzi Ranch 11-12 June 1980 Evidence of use at Spring 206 - Olsen 1979 Use heavy at 206 - Walleys 1959 droppings along Phinney Mine RD above shaft - also old droppings at Doe Spring - 6 Sept 1980 cowpels near Doe Spring 26 Oct 1980
