4-5 Aug 1979 Phineas mine-cabin, shaft and pleasure
spring. Clear, warm, 1/2 moon. Set 22 traps (Mus musculus)
baited 2 peanut butter, bacon grease, rolled oats
12 along stream, source to rock, 4 downstream,
from rock, 6 mine to cabin in morning, found
6 traps sprung empty, including one that had
an elkodes up, eating the bait. Most traps
had center set traps at 6-7 pm, picked
up at 8-9 am. Caught: 1 Neotoma
