Kingsley 1980 75 30 Nov Route 5 Milepost 30.1 Trap success: 50 traps, 40 Sherman 10 snap: Dipodomys merriami 4 all in Sherman 2 kept (480-481) Six of the 10 snap traps had been cleaned presumably by kit fox; 1 snap trap was missing. 3 shermans were closed but empty, one had a fecal dropping (collected) One Dipo was dead in the trap, the trap had been moved, and a dropping was placed on it. Reset all traps, replaced missing trap. 1 Dec same location. Second night trap success: Dipodomys merriami 5 (all released) Ammospermophilus leucurus 4 (1snap) #482,483 Total this site: 100 trap nights (80 Sherman 20 snap) Dipodomys merriami 9 Ammospermophilus leucurus 4 (1snap) 13/100 It is possible that 2 of the Dipo's caught on the second night were also caught the first night, which would lower the count to 7.
