10 5 June 1980. Very windy last night. 1/2 moon. Picked up traps set yesterday, caught: 1 Ammospermophiles leucurus #308 2 Dipodomys merriami #306 1 Dipodomys nitratops #313 7 Peromyscus maniculatus not kept 5 Peromyscus eremicus #307, 310 1 Peromyscus crinitus #309, #311 1 Perognathus sp. #312 Kept 1 of each species I had 2 or more of, released the rest, success 18/140 12.9% Spent most of the day stuffing these specimens in the tent. Another windy day, but otherwise beautiful. Late in the afternoon around 5 pm, helped Margaret with a vegetation transect, gave up at 7:30 when it got too cold & the necessity of dinner was impending. A cool, windy night. Saw one lone bat (Myotis?) struggling against the wind. 6 June 1980 Finished the vegetation transect this morning, Margaret's "Belted Transect No. 5" Then packed up and proceeded along Tites Canyon Road. Stopped at Titanothere Canyon to collect a Perotewsus, stopped at top of "Red Pass" before road descends to Leadfield, saw Black-chinned Sparrows there. Lunched at Leadfield. Stopped at "Entering Titas Canyon" to collect Marmotidae and at Clare Spring
