Kingsey 1980 4 1 April 1980 continued p3 left fork road at gate, headed to remains of a small cabin. Set 40 Sherman's baited with peanut-butter flavored oats along small vegetation choked stream. Vegetation included cottonwood, willows, mesquite, Arundo, cattails, Bachares, Vites, Pluchea and Cirsium. Returned home after an ice cream at Scotty's Castle and an attempt at fixing electricity. Birds: Common snipe, Meadowlark, Turkey Vulture, Ravens, Red-tailed Hawk, Cooper's Hawk, Kestrel (?) R. S. Flicker, Say's Phoebe Put specimens in Coleman frig with dry ice: an experiment. Saw considerable coyote scat. 2 April 1980 Scotty's Ranch Death Valley N.M. Returned to Scotty's Ranch to pick up traps at 7:30 AM.
