Set 120 Sherman traps baited with quick rolled oats, in 2-trap stations approx 20 meters apart; 40 to a line, 3 lines. Line 1 going N from camp, across road, uphill, crossing wash, about 4/5 way up saddle. Lines 2 and 3 parallel to each other, (20m apart) SE from camp, across sage flat with small sand wash. Line #1 caught: #209-222, 14 animals 7 Dipodomys sp. 1 Perognathus sp. 2 Peromyscus crinitus 1 Onychomys 2 Peromyscus 1 Neotoma 35% success. Line #2 caught: #223-232 9 animals 8 Peromyscus 1 Onychomys Line #3 caught #233-243 11animals 4 Dipodomys sp 5 Peromyscus 2 Onychomys Saw a group of 7 burros near Bullfrog hills. Hiked N over hill to large wash with rocky sides. Much sign of cattle and some horses. Saw 3 golden eagles.
