got involved with a band of horses
and became father to the mules?
That's what it looks like.
Description of Plinney Spring: up canyon
from mine shafts and structures, following
pipeline. A small seep from camper wall
runs downstream maybe 100-150 feet,
owhere more than 1 foot across and
one inch deep. Dense growth of grasses
(Elymus) and sedges. Pipes piled up and
several rusting pieces of metal, a
mine claim marker at the head of
the spring. Surrounded by pincus.

No rabbits seen on peak, but rabbit
sign (cottontail and jackrabbit) found.
saw a young jackrabbit on ridge
just N of camp (mine shaft).
No bats seen this trip!
