EL Karadath 1955 Journal May 18 Worked Churchne Meadow 4:30-6:30. Few birds out and caught these. Night check of Churchne, Stonewm, Sentinel Meadows 8:45-12 midnight. Air cooled down to 9+°C but sky clear and star- May 19 Lit, no breeze. Slag Camp 4. Morning check of Churchne mdr. 7:30-8:00 A.M. Air temp. (0°C) slaked early during check at study site. Clear blue skies, no breeze, it may be a swinder. From we supposed to have 90° yesterday. Still, clear, sunny 9 A.M. Use Gloria Point Rd. Chiquagon (96.3) First stop (99.2) black-headed gros- beak along road 55:00 ft., many robins. Second stop (99.6) 3 [illegible], Para muscra todgulos. Bridwell Bridge to mso whr. trail 2.0 road miles. no time to hike into mso mdr. this trip. Small meadow W side of road 1/4 mile by road NE of Bridwell Bridge. no birds. Returned Yos. Valley and went Big Oak Flats road to Crane Flot, then Tiger Road as far as Gin Flot. Arrived 3:15 P.M. Clear skies, warm & sunny. Return Bar Mojave 8 P.M. 12.5 gallons $4.06 (7210). First night stop 18 mi. (road) W of Mojave. Balding evening. Bullfrogs only heard. 10 adults collected for culinary purposes. Doubled back on Hwy 140 to Cathay. Took road to Hornitos, Marced Falls, Snelling, Turlock. Night road check 9-10:30 P.M. dry narrow black-top road elevation 300-1200 feet. Air cool, high 50's F°, but presently warm after hot
