march 19 Russian Gulch State Park. this is southern known limit of Oacoglua. Stollis saye 2 adutls were collected like^22 Hydr here by Bill Salt. Lab identification came later. We searched stems and edges for both Oacoglua and Dicymoptera without luck. Rosa aurora (2) were collected. 4th stop 1/2 mi. N Rockysent. Amblyst. gracile adult & egg clusters, Bothrodreane, Ensatina, Gerdonius crinulus taken. First Ameides ferrus collected at 5th stop, 6 mi. N of Rckysent. A. ferrus, A. lugubris, "Bota", Ensatina taken. Sugar Gardenville. Overnight camp at Stephen Grove #, Humboldt State Park on U.S. 101. Hydr, 2 longears collected in Ed River.
march 20 major stop at 3.7 mi. E Blue lake on 299 above Cresta. Clear, mild weather. Good flow in my creeks, although no real rain for week or so (?) Boomville gaz station operator said no rain for 3 weeks that locality. Physotium adults (14) ad larvae (11) collected along creek. Ameides ferrus, Rosa aurora, Hydr dar taken. No Plattdon elongatus last collecting stop for our car (Ward's) was 3 1/2 mi. S Scotia on 101. Large yard fire. Hydr (7) R. aurora (2) and eggs + tadls, Amblystoma gracile eggs, Taricha granulosa at 2:30 p.m. Home via Gardenville & Napa Valley 10:30 p.m.
