EKarlstun 1956 Journal April 29 N.E. Banning Canyon. 1 Lora nucera Hard of Burnt Canyon above mill Canyon. Drive Water Canyon truck as far as road possible, then hiked steam canyon to waterfall. Bob collected three Ensetra . E. & Idoubei overcast and E. & zackscholtzi lower down. Returned to Banning 6:30 P.M. Afternoon hazy with some cloudiness, card up canyon 5-500 feet elevation. Drive to Palm Springs State Hwy 111. Overnight camp north of Tahquitz Canyon, one mile S.W. Palm Springs. 6 Hyla cinerea Tahquitz creek about 10 A.M. Brilliant full moon, warm (in low 70's). April 24 Up about 7 A.M. Clear, lovely morning. After breakfast we drove NW on 111, then west to canyon. Followed road drawn by Van Sooy to locality where he collected Batrachosoma in mid-March. || Cabazon | Hwy 60 79 99 Broadway X small canyon Quite dry at surface, and no salamanders found this locality. 1 Pituophis catenifer Good site near 1 Uta wernsi stuged rocks 1 Uta stanleyana
