ELKadstern 1955 Hyla regilla Feb. 11 Checked Hyla collected Feb. 1 and kept in cold room. "Inflated ->" oxygen normal and healthy with no sign of former condition. Jim Anderson stated that animal was still partially inflated Feb. 8 but not as much as noted Feb. 2. Feb. 10 Richmond Locality again, no Hyla chorus 2-4:30 p.m. mild, sunny afternoon with moderate to brisk NW breeze. 3 subadult (?) molos collected under a concrete slab N end of large pool. I did then a few low "dr-a-r-ocka" from pozetina 20 yards or so from water. Additional egg clusters seen. One cluster had larvae in tail bud stage, active muscular contractions, and close to hatching. No tods free-swimming yet. Feb 15 Same locality. Egg clusters numerous. In Pond A (see Bufos notes) I found a few recently hatched tadpoles but only at one small area of pond. Collected 8-9:30 p.m. clear sky, moderate breeze, cool. Heavy chorus of Hyla continues. March 23 Same locality. Hyla chorusing 8-9:15 p.m. but few egg clusters noted. Maximum size of tods from Pond A (see Bufos notes) about 25 mm. Body 10-11 mm, tail 14-15. A dead cat in Pond B (there at least two weeks) had many Hyla tods on its surface. One may have been feeding or exposed, decomposed flesh.
