Common had been first to take xanthoetria here.
Stebbins secured another today. Russell and Stebbins
also took Hydrornetes browni here on 30-40°
NE-facing slope.
Bridlung, 1500 feet, moryisa Co., Calij. I took
a single juvenil inside the opening of an old
mine shaft under a small rock.
Quentin S Fork merged with Merced River
1600 feet, moryisa Co., Calij. Stebbins got another
xanthoetria here.
Bose Cathedral Rocks, 4150 feet, Y.N.P.,
moryisa Co., Calij. 7 platensis collected on
snow-patched S slopes of Valley. Pair of
juveniles.
March 19 6 miles N Rockport on Hwy 1, maderio Co.
Calij. 3 P.M. Redwood forest, due an old
slide area for tinder on 50° slope. Heavy deer
slode, much downed rotted logs and broke.
Oreides foveus collected in rotted wood or
under broke. One adult Ensatia some situation,
a second under rotting redwood broke. Juvenil
Oreides foveus and A. lugubris taken. One
Ensatia had a bright blotched E.E. picta like
tail; other more duller orange.
