EL Kaldstrom 1955 Bulbo corneuz Aug. 9 drawback to our study. Bolr dropped the probe about 3:30 P.M. and ended our search with the scintillometer. Only the upper 1/2 of study area had been searched and this not very thoroughly. The crystal in the package probably was dislodged, according to Mogill. The meadow soil was saturated with water a few inches below the surface. Although most of meadow surface is now dry, there still remains much moisture in the soil. Recovered frogs had not moved great distances, 3 more adult frogs were tree-clipped (only). Weather station checked. Still about 3/4" water 4' out from station. Emerged toads at pond edge but still lower in hollows. Samples collected. Aug. 10 Twigy Bass study over. Arrived 8:45 A.M. Paul Elkins uncovered a hole under a 6' long piece of log.
