ELKadethum 1955 Buffs caronus July 8 and 3' x 4' across. Bubbles adjacent one to 4" deep and 2-4 across, > found 8' away in middle placed in hole for shot in first nature looking fashion. F# at 1/100th. #5 Kodachrome on attempt of color coverage of olive from 3 1/2 feet. F# at 1/50th. Took novel. #6 at 3 feet same shot. Toads active on surface 11:15 A.M. & at stake C gazers to low drift armour. #10 Elmo-X weighted shot of geiger meter set above site where toad circled in gopher run. Toad 3" below gauge. F# at 1/100th. & tagged 6 more adult toads in sugar meadow area (F28-33). Check of weather station 12:15 P.M. Clock seem to have run since Jan 26th same it registers 11 A.M. Friday 02 of year. Temperature reading is accurate to 1° F. Sand # is lower. Depth 3-4' out from station is 1 1/4". Toddlers are large and dispersed. Air temp. 16.5° C. Buller shelled at 12:40 P.M. High winds continue but clear skies expect for a few light high cumulus clouds. Little green algae visible in pond. Toads are detritus feeding off plants and silt bottom. Silt is a tan color here, and the black lower stand out sharply. Sedges in pond A are to 12" height regularly spaced four miles apart part of meadow appears half green. Willows show about 1/3-1/2 full development of leaves. Snow patches visible 40 yards NE x E station still 20 x 60' and to 16" deep. No other snow in meadow area, but good-
