Elk Karlston 1955 Bufo carorus April 13 hurried survey made along Glacier Point road between Chiquaquin and Beargry meadow Y.N.P. A possibly good carorus locality is a bog meadow south 200 yards from the road below Bodger pass turnoff. The meadow is open but this may be too much gradient for standing water. About 14" of snow here, melted off at meadow margin. Bearing has a maximum of 25" of snow, but it again lies deep, saturated ground under stand of lodgepole pines to 8 of road. Season opens a couple weeks later this year than last.
