300 yards wide x 1/4 mile long NE x NW. Gently 20-30°
sloping hills border meadow averaging 100-200 feet height.
Nipple lies to W x NW of this meadow.
5000 ft.
Another meadow seen to W of road cleared. Cactus
caucus sized membranous sac filled with insect fragments
found in seepage flow. See in gray from outside. I
saved what remained after I
had punctured it. Could this
be an onion feed sack? Water 1" deep gently flowing
seepage flow 2 1/2' wide.

Air temp. 1" above ground 10.5° C. Moderate breeze, sun
baked ridge. Burrow 7" deep, 2 3/4" across - a tight
squeeze for food which must have locked down in.
