Water depth 20-20½" Note the air temp. exceeds that gotten at Herdbythis weather station by about 3 degrees. (95 Jun 8 Y.N.P.) max-min. 82-70° F. Water level Pond B 16½" Adjusted pond thermograph which was off in timing, a few degrees high in temp. Dyer and Buffalo took as longer, border to net. A good average ride for bottom flora - 2 (6' average Pond B. Clear, worm, louzy today. Sedges & grasses to 3' height. Western aspden beginning to bloom. Oaks & cottonwoods leafed out. June 19 1.3 mi. N, 0.2 mi. W Carini Carter Richmond), Carter Carter Co., Calif. Night search 9:30 - 10:35 a.m. for toads. One adult D (unidentified) and a juvenile collected Pond A area west side of Santa Fe roadbed. Just water dried up here but some moisture bottom of pond C; water & tadpoles small area pond B. Clear cool night. Members of this population must spread out over vast area for nocturnal post-breeding feeding activity. I covered a lot of ground to find two toads. Small recently metamorphosed toads under old logs pond A.
