Feb. 23 Same locality
Returned 1:45 P.M. to make more thorough
search of area. Richmond police (theft division)
have been notified and given a description of
missing chest and contents, & left a description
of both with watch-men at small plant north
of pond A ([illegible]) and the owner
of Trailer Court bordering pond B. My searching
and questioning shed no light on the matter.
Pond A level lower dry 1/2" on stake. Depth
to maximum length of about 3/4" but not
abundant yet. Air temp. 16.5°C. at 3:15 P.M.
Pond 16.2°C. a third batch of recently laid
Bufo eggs located among grasses 35' SW of
former weather station. Eggs over area 4'x8',
water depth 4-6", sparse grasses growing up
through water. Eggs not lower than 4-5" in
water depth. About 5-10% appear "bad"
