June 27 Congen we saw two adult peregrins at edge of road. They climbed quite agilely up steep dirt & rock banks. Slept overnight Corderville (40058.1) (2600.)
June 28 Gas Cadenville, Nevada. 11.0 gals. (3.60) plus tire charge & lodging $2.00. Fly forest separation on new words left foot the left ankle bubble which kept on speed down last night.
Day 295 Leaving then via Targa road to Dome Meadows at the Base. Works as I tried geiger counter method of collecting the ticks marked last Saturday. 3 tagged adults retrieved in short time, air temp. 19-20° C., wind gusts, sky clear 11 A.M. Left Para 12:15 P.M. and drove to Porcupine Flat campground where I dropped off Doris Lizzell. We intended to cover this area and Tommarch Flat before leaving on Friday or Saturday.
July 8 Left Conge in Yosemite Valley 5:50 A.M. for Targa Base. Cool, clear morning. Arrived Twin Lakes rdms. 7:30 A.M. Coffee in stove tasted mighty good! Gas 5.0 gals., at Statini. Worked Base 8:30 - 2:30 P.M. mostly clear skies but scattered high clouds later, morning mild for Dome Meadows. The wind came up very strong by 9:30 A.M. and remained high rest of time I was there. Returned to Valley 5 P.M., where I checked Ahwahnee Meadow Station.
