C.W Johnston 19048 Turdus migratorius. 10 July Petersburg, Alaska. Ames Fm Farm - Petersburg Creek Immediately following a heavy down pour of rain, a robin emerged from a fifteen foot bush with the feathers of its head, back & breast thoroughly wetted. It proceeded to comb them out with its bill. They are frequently seen around the farm, that is, they may be seen singly or in pairs when ever one looks for them. 21 July. Same place as above. A group of about ten robins were flying in & out of shrubs & large bushes covering an area of about half an acre to the West of the milk sheds. They seem to be making more of a rumppus with their chattering call. Perhaps they seem most noisy than usual because they rather the chattering
