M Johnston 1948 Turdus migratorius 27 June Juneau, Alaska 1.5 mi N. of Douglas Bridge, W Juneau Rd. One seen flying from clump of low bushes on one side of road to the conifers on other side of road. It is rare that a robin is seen in comparison to the large flocks that one is used to seeing in states 28 June Same as above. A group of about twelve were seen flying, in a scattered flock, in the area on the north side of the road that had once been burned off but had now grown up with alders, blue berries, eldeberry and salmon berry bushes. Some of this flock were seen to fly into the conifers on the west side of the road. We called this new growth area "the prairie" because of its open expanse in comparison to the dense woods.
