A black duck like bird with red feet and legs, white patch on wing, but with a slender bill, flew in thru the channel between Ben's I. + Harbor I. from outer bay, turned toward Ben's I. and swooped upward alight- ing in the rocks about 30 ft. above the water. It had been flying about 6-8 ft above the water. These rocks are rugged, nearly vertical up from water.
