R.E.Johnson 1968 Journal 157 July 7 Anchutka Island, Alaska Oyster catcher called from below. Both adult Eagles circled & called above but did not dive. Bald Eagle nest on sea stack off a point east of the [illegible] point forming the east boundary of the core & 1st saw & entered after proceeding down creek from the car. One large young in nest, one adult attending which circles me & calls. There were 3+ Harlequin Ducks below the stack in the water. July 8 Anchutka Island, Alaska Checked Lapland Longspur nests as usual. Grauman Lake Census Greater Scaup . 7δ, 1φ + 2 yng, 1 pair Mallard - 1 φ Rosy Finch - a pair copulating on top of a phone pole. Aleutian Tern Colony - Rifle Range Nest #3 1 chick (1 Ft. away from nest 4 1 warm egg Approx. 15 adults flying about. Clerenger Lake Census - NAM Mallard 1 φ Common Teal 4 δ, 1 φ Greater Scaup 1 φ Red-breasted Merganser 1 φ + 9 yng.
