The weather was cold, clear skies
and we had no trouble getting there.
We saw the following species:
Western Gull (Larus occidentalis)
Ring-billed Gull (Larus delawarensis)
Ruddy Duck (Oxyura jamaicensis)
Surf Scoter (Melanitta perspicillata)
Killdeer (Charadrius vociferus)
Black-bellied Plover (Pluvialis squatarola)
Willett (Tringa semipalmata)
Western Gull (Larus occidentalis)
There were about 2 tufted ducks, mostly or all males, which seemed to be chasing one another about in a small circle, diving their heads under but not driving. An unidentified gull was seen - or about 5-6 of them.
All maintained the same speed and formation (a) while under observation.
