573 AT Hewett PPPI [illegible] What do you mean by 'injured'? I don't know, I suppose. It's something like that. The first time it happened was when I was playing for the school team and got hurt badly. I think it must have been about a year ago. I remember it very well because I thought I was going to die. It was so sudden and unexpected. I had just come out of my house after school one day when I saw two boys running towards me from the other side of the road. They were shouting something at me but I couldn't hear what they were saying because it was too noisy outside. Then suddenly there was this huge crash behind me and everything went black for a moment before I woke up lying on the ground with blood all over my face and arms. At first I didn't know what had happened until someone ran over to help me and told me that one of the boys had fallen off his bicycle onto the pavement just where I was standing. He must have been moving quite fast because he hit the kerb very hard and broke his leg in several places. The other boy tried to get up but couldn't so we both called an ambulance which arrived within minutes and took him away to hospital immediately. I stayed there with my parents until he was taken into surgery then went home again feeling rather shaken by the whole experience although nothing too serious had actually happened to anyone involved except perhaps for some minor injuries sustained during the fall itself which wouldn't require any special treatment anyway since these sorts of things usually heal quite quickly without needing much attention at all.
