pines 75 yds away across meadow. 10:49
- a bird comes from the other direction
from the screams to the nest - it is a
daggetti > nuchalis, no breast band but
fairly distinct head stripes. D. arrives
from "scream direction" to nest - there
are sqwks - no sign of aggression - n.
out, d.>n. goes in nest. D. taps, moves
away a few inches, taps, back to nest,
sqwks. insistently. D.>n. out, remains
at nearby pine. D. in, 10:53. 10:54 -
