Larche R, 1 mi N Burbank, Lake Wales Co., Florida.
Before dark we drove 2 mi. SSE of Burbank to set out traps.
The area in which the traps were set was of rolling sand dunes overgrown with sage brush. My trap line (40 traps) passed across two low swampy ravines which was overgrown with grass.
Burrows of Perognathus and Dipodomyx were at both runnerves. The traps were set 20 paces apart within reaching distance of the 20th pace without regard for location. The soil was all of light sand except the marshy area described above in which the soil was moist and much looser.
July 24
Upon picking up the above trap line I found the following catch:
2 Perognathus megaleotus 1♀ x 1♂
4 Dipodomyx ordii 3♂ 1♀
15 Perognathus farvus
