July 12
June Beetles, Okanogan Co. Wash.
and about the same depth.
The eggs were
white with brown marking.
July 13
Breaking camp about noon we returned to
White Salmon and then drove east 6 miles to
Maryhill . Our camp
site was on the bank of the river about 1/4 mi. east
from town.. High rim rock
bordered the river north
of camp. A few willows
grew at the water edge.
The hillsides were bare
except for a low grass
which was extremely dry.
July 14
Maryhill 200 ft. Klickitat Co. Wash.
The day was spent
setting up camp.. Birds
noted during the day
were:
Western Gull
Yellow Warbler
Brewer Blackbird Magpies
California Quail
Lewin
Crow
