Traps were set in nearly all
possible types of places in
the area, i. under large
trees, at the base of
fallen trees, under the
low vine maple, in the
a low shrub (found growing here)
at the base of stumps, in the
open sparsy spots.
July 10 Twin Buttes, 4300 ft., 2 1/2 mi. S W Steamboat Mt., Okanogan Wash
Upon picking up the above
trap line I found the following
catch:
2 Eutominus townsendii
1 Peromyscus maniculatus
The Eutominus townsendii
were taken at the base
of fallen logs. The Peromyscus
was taken on an open clearing.
After returning to flood
river for the trucks we
moved camp to Twin Buttes.
