Cooper 1939 July 6 Brooke Mews. Set in the deep grass of the meadow at 20 foot intervals. Some were set on runways which I found in zone 56 the deepest grass. The remaining 70 traps were set at the base of stumps or fallen timber at the edge band and within the dense timber. These traps were all baited with oats. Enter & Out traps were set at the bases of some of the larger trees. These were baited with pears and walnuts. July 7 The following catch was found upon picking up the traps described above. 1 Eutemnius townsendii 1 Sorex vagrans 1 Peromyscus maniculatus The Sorex vagrans was taken in deep grass of the meadow area. The Peromyscus maniculatus was taken at the base of a fallen tree at
