Hooper 1939 July 30 Crooked River Sparrow Hawk Western Meadow Dove Violet Green Swallow Cliff Swallow Rock Wren. [illegible] The morning was spent in packing up camp equipment and by noon set whole camp and drove back to Prineville over the Crooked River canyon road, current approximately 9 miles southeast of Prineville a Marmot was seen in among large rocks of the canyon wall; another was found dead in the roadway 100 yds from the place. The farmer was seen - From Prinevil we drove back to Redmond and then on highway 97 to the Columbia River Highway. Here we turned west and drove to the north of the
