Wooper 1939 June 29 Crossed River Also the evening however I set out 3 & Museum special traps starting my trap time in the very sandy soil brending Bear creek and continuing [illegible] first up through the sandy soil near the base of the south slope of the canyon and then up into the black volcanic rim rock near the top of the Canyon. Junipers and sage brush were the two principal types of vegetation in the route traveled. June 30 On picking up the traps set out I found the following catch: 4 Dipodomyx orciil 4 Seronymus manculatus 4 Derognathus jurvus 0 of the catch the Dipodomys were taken near the creek.
