June 29 Creeked River rock and rose approximately 250 feet above stream bed. Both sides of the canyon were sparsely grown with Western Timper Juniperes occidentalis, and the floor of the canyon was covered with Sage Brush Artemisia and also with clusters of Junipers. South North River camp During the night I heard a Horned Owl.. The next morning I heard and saw 2 yellow warblers. June 30 The day was spent mostly in arranging the camp equipment which was my task since I was the cooks for the party!
