Itinerary

July 16
Guernville, Mt. Sonoma Co., Calif.
Leaving Berkeley at 9 am
with friends on a trip
no designed particularly for
collecting specimens, we
drove north to [illegible]
and took the ferry to
San Rafael. We then
drove north thru
Sebastopol to Guernville
where we made camp at
Guern ranch, located.
During the afternoon,
morning while traveling,
I saw the following birds
en route:
Egrets white Pelicans
Cormorants.. Red Tail Hawk
Sparrow Hawk..!
Sharp shinned Hawk.
While walking in
the hills west of
town I picked up
a lizard, a species of Gerrhonotus.

in leaves under a heavy
forest of Redwoods and
Douglas fir.
