June 28
11 mi. NE Weed, ft. Disbroux Co., Calif.
At this locality I set out
21 museum special traps.
The traps were set approximately
15 feet apart. Many large
burrows of Dipodomys
were seen while setting
traps. Most of these were
found under clumps of
sage. The soil was sandy,
bet rather dark in color.
Four Dipodomys heermanni
were taken in the above
trap lines. All traps were
baited with oats. Of
the catch 1 was and adult ♂
and 3 were adult ♀. Of
these take 3 were from
traps set under sage brush
and 1 was taken in the
open; away from any vegetation.
