August 1939 Reithrodon lamp megolotis July 1 Columbia R., 300 ft., at mouth of Deschutes R.; Wasco, Ore. Two specimens were taken in traps set in tall grass bordering the Deschutes River. The area was overgrown with Poplars and thick masses of wild rose. Only 4 traps were set in this area. Both specimens were adult males. July 24 2 mi SSE Burbank, 350 ft., Walla Walla Co., Wash. Two specimens were taken in a marshy area bordering in which several cyusas were found growing. My trap line passed over such an area which was topographically a slight ravine surrounded by dry sand dunes. The soil was much darker and more moist than the surrounding dry sand dunes. One specimen was a ♂ the other a ♀. Only 6 traps out of the 40 set out were set in this area.
