Brooks Mews, 4300 ft., 9 mi. ENE of Mt. Hood, Hood R. Co. Ore.
One adult ♀ which had recently nursed young was shot by myself 50 yds from camp. The mammal was well developed and protruded considerably from the belly wall. No embryos were found internally. The specimen was shot while running along a fallen log at the edge of the timber.
July 7. An adult ♀ was taken in a rat trap set at the side of a fallen log which had partially decayed and was undermined by burrows (probably ground squirrel). The specimen was taken in fairly dense timber 50 yds from the meadow.
