In company with Art Kip, I left Berkeley this morning at 9 A.M. with the mouth of the Stanislaus River as the destination for the day. While passing through the hills west of Livermore at Altamont (a railroad station listed on the Shell road maps) we noticed a man distributing prison grain to ground squirrels.
