"♂ killed on summit of Pinacate Peak Sonora,
Mexico - about April 1 (+ 30 days) 1915, by
Marshall Bond."

"♂ killed near Gaillets tank, about 15 miles
SW (approximately) from Pinacate Peak, Sonora,
Mexico, by Charlie Foster (a half breed Papago
Indian) about April 1 (+ 30 days) 1915."

This specimen is no. 111 of the "Benson
blondino gophers". It died in captivity
on June 2, 1936.
