Hooper 1938 Microtus californicus July 7, Meadow mice extremely abundant, trails, droppings and animals everywhere, in chaparral belt along ocean south from Sharp Park to Moss Beach. Vegetation: Baccharis, Poison oak, monkey flower, etc. See vegetation type map for San Mateo quadrangle. Outside Halfmoon Bay, 1/2 mi. N Pillar Pt., San Mateo Co., Calif. July 8, 29 taken in 16 traps set in fresh-water marshy area grown to Carex, Juncus, Salix, Rumex, Onium, Mimulus.
